THE BUZZ: Treyarch has today released patch 1.13 for Call of Duty: Black Ops on the PlayStation 3. The patch, which will be available for the Xbox 360 and PC in the near future, fixes a number of bugs in the game and also adds support for the upcoming Rezurrection DLC. The full patch notes are below.

Survive the Moon
Lift off into the latest Zombies epic with 'Rezurrection,' the new downloadable content pack for 'Call of Duty: Black Ops,' and the first to launch players into space for a new dimension of undead action! Old school Zombie strategies get blown out of the airlock in 'Moon,' where armed with new perks and a space-age arsenal of weapons, our heroes must overcome undead astronauts and fluctuating gravity as they unearth conspiracies that began in 1943.
Rounding out Rezurrection are the 4 maps that spawned the Zombie phenomenon: 'Nacht der Üntoten,' 'Verrückt,' 'Shi No Numa' and 'Der Riese.'

Original Story
Just when you thought it was safe to start shelving your copy of 'Call of Duty: Black Ops' in preparation for 'Modern Warfare 3,' Activision has announced that another map pack is on the way. Titled 'Resurrection,' the pack is scheduled for release in September for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The news was revealed as part of Activision's second quarter earnings reports.
'Resurrection' is the fourth map pack, following 'First Strike,' 'Escalation' and 'Annihilation.' Each of those packs included four multiplayer maps and a new zombie map, for a price of $15, so it's safe to say that formula will continue for this new pack. The name does, however, imply that it'll resurrect old maps in the series...something that none of the 'Black Ops' map packs have really done.
It could also simply be the wide release of the original 'World at War' zombie maps, which, up until now, were only available in 'Black Ops' for those who purchased the $80 Hardened edition of the game. Given that those maps already exist and would require no development work whatsoever, they'd be an easy way to get another map pack out without expending any resources. It would be a disappointment, though, given how much effort Treyarch has put into the 'Black Ops' map packs thus far.
Unfortunately details are pretty scarce about the 'Resurrection' map pack at present, beyond the fact that it's coming in September for all platforms. We'll have more information as it develops, including the contents, price and precise release date for the pack, so stay tuned.

PATCH NOTES
GLOBAL:
[PS4 only] Descent DLC 3 Map Pack Support
- Cryogen
- Located far off the coast in the Dead Sea, an isolated compound holds some of the world’s most dangerous criminals in frozen isolation. Sentry towers keep watch over the small map’s circular design, as frenetic combat is funneled around the prison’s cryogenic tubes which offer plenty of opportunities for wall running attacks.
- Berserk
- Ancient sentinels from a lost civilization guard the entrance to Berserk, a Viking village frozen in time. Fight through blizzards and control the center bridge as you navigate this medium-sized map’s wooden buildings and craggy rock outcroppings.
- Rumble
- Fight it out among mechanized warriors in Rumble, and arena where giant robots battle to the roar of the crowd. The small-to-medium-sized map funnels high-speed combat to the central pit with tight corners throughout the exterior of the stadium.
- Empire
- The fan favorite Call of Duty: Black Ops II Map, Raid, gets a fresh upgrade enhanced by the Black Ops III chained movement system. The classic medium-sized map features an authentic Roman villa recreated by a modern-day eccentric billionaire and mixed sight lines enable any style of gameplay.
- Gorod Krovi
- In the latest episode of the Zombies experience ‘Gorod Krovi’, the Origins characters are hurled into an alternate, war-torn Stalingrad where Element 115 has wreaked havoc over a battlefield littered with the remnants of a battle between mechanized soldiers and deadly dragons controlled by Group 935. Here, the Origins characters will face their most dangerous enemies yet.
Groups
- Players can now invite Players to a Group by searching for their Player ID.
